Accessibility Statement

We hold this site to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, and we are actively remediating. Partially conformant means most of the site meets the standard, but some parts do not yet.

Recent work covered in this pass: a skip link to the main content, a visible keyboard focus indicator on every interactive control, colour contrast raised on secondary text and on form-field borders, a keyboard-reachable pause control on the rotating testimonials, and labelled controls throughout the ordering flow.

The card entry on the in-venue ordering page is rendered inside a secure field supplied by our payment processor, Square. We do not control its markup, and we have not independently verified it against WCAG 2.1 AA.

The site uses cinematic motion — parallax, per-line text reveals, an ambient film grain, and a looping steam video behind the homepage headline. All of it is suppressed when your device or browser requests reduced motion, and the video is muted, decorative, and hidden from assistive technology. If you have not set that preference, the motion still plays.

The interactive origins map and constellation are decorative renderings of the same information given in the surrounding text; they are not separately navigable by keyboard.

We have not yet completed a full audit with a screen reader on every page, and we have not commissioned an independent third-party evaluation.

We aim to acknowledge every accessibility report within five business days and to tell you what we plan to do about it and roughly when. Where a fix will take longer, we will offer another way to complete what you were doing — including placing a reservation or an order by phone.
